Blinds & Curtains · Roller Blinds
Roller blinds, done with care. The everyday workhorse.
What are roller blinds?
Roller blinds are the most versatile window treatment we sell — a single fabric panel that rolls up to expose the window and down to cover it. Done well, they look clean and modern — and the difference comes down to the fabric quality, the mechanism, and the install.
We sell Norman's Soluna range because Norman's roller blinds use better materials, smoother mechanisms, and Greenguard-certified low-VOC fabrics that don't off-gas into your home. The result is a clean, contemporary look that holds up for years — not weeks.
Fitting out a child's room? Blockout fabric is only half the job — the light comes in around the edges. See our guide to blockout blinds for kids' rooms.

Norman · PrecisionLift Cordless
A spring-tensioned roller that lifts and lowers with a light push or pull. No chain, no exposed mechanism, no dangling cords. Certified safe for children, and the cleanest profile you can buy. Particularly good for high-traffic family rooms where chains get yanked and bent.

Norman · SmartRelease
The traditional chain-control roller, but with a patented safety release that breaks away if a child gets caught in the chain. Looks like a standard chain operation, behaves safely. The right answer for windows where cordless isn't practical (very wide or very heavy blinds).

Norman · LightGuard 360
A fully-encased roller blind with channels on both sides and a sealed top and bottom — eliminates the light bleed that standard rollers leak around the edges. Genuine blackout for bedrooms, media rooms, and shift workers' sleep rooms. Looks like a clean rectangle from inside the room — no visible mechanism.

Norman · LightGuard side tracks
The lighter version of LightGuard 360 — side channels only, no top or bottom seal. Significantly reduces edge light bleed without the heavier full-encasement look. Good for rooms wanting better-than-standard blockout but not full blackout.

Norman · Soluna sunscreen mesh
Translucent mesh fabrics that let you see through to the view while cutting glare and UV. Available in multiple opacity levels — from light-filtering for living rooms through to almost-blockout for bedrooms. The fabric most customers actually want when they say "roller blinds."

Norman · Dual roller
Two rollers on a single bracket — a sunscreen for daytime, a blockout for night. Independently operated. The most flexible single-window solution, and the one that solves the eternal question of "do I want light or do I want privacy" by simply giving you both.

Norman · Motorised Soluna
Voice control, app, remote, or wall switch. Quiet motors that disappear into the bracket. Particularly worth it for high windows, wide spans, or smart-home integration. Battery-powered options mean no electrician required — just a USB charge every few months.

Norman · Greenguard-certified fabric
Every Norman roller blind fabric is Greenguard certified for low chemical emissions. Practical relevance: the fabrics don't off-gas formaldehydes, plasticisers or other airborne chemicals into your home — useful for asthma households, nurseries, and anyone who cares about indoor air quality.

Official Norman partner Exclusive agent in the Port Stephens area Why we use Norman
As part of Carpet Court — the largest flooring and window furnishing network in Australia — we can get our hands on just about any product, brand or manufacturer you're after, at pricing that's hard to beat anywhere else. So if you've seen something specific, chances are we can supply it.
But here's where I'll be straight with you. I've been installing and selling shutters and blinds for over 20 years, and I've never seen quality like Norman's. The innovation in their materials and the way their products operate is just next level — nothing else comes close. So for anything Norman makes, Norman is what we recommend and push, every time.
For years I bought Norman through a wholesaler, like a lot of local companies did. When Norman came to Australia direct, I chased them down to deal with them directly — and jumped at the chance to become their exclusive agent in the area. I've never looked back.
The proof is in the warranty. Norman backs everything with a no-questions-asked warranty that's frankly unheard of in this industry. But I hardly ever need it — genuine faults are rare. Nearly every "warranty" call turns out to be accidental damage, and even then we usually fix it on the spot, or Norman replaces it free.
So you get the best of both: the range and buying power of Australia's biggest network, and our honest pick of the best product on the market. I won't push something I don't believe in — and I believe in Norman.
